About the MWRDF
The Midwest Rugby Development Foundation (MWRDF) was founded in 1996 to operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes to foster national and international amateur competition in the sport of rugby. The MWRDF invests in and builds the rugby community with the operating principles of growth, development, and advancement. Our fundraising efforts extend from events to an endowment and all funds raised go to accomplishing our stated mission. In addition, the MWRDF provides community, information, and support to players, clubs, and families throughout the Greater Cincinnati region.

Endowment
The best way to guarantee the success of rugby in Greater Cincinnati is with a long term financial plan that provides for the monetary funding needed in the years and decades to come. The MWRDF endowment allows individuals to donate life insurance proceeds, stocks, real estate, and many other forms of financial sponsorship to benefit amateur rugby. We offer a newsletter with valuable information on how to contribute and for you to benefit as well.

Our vision is to provide world-class facilities, training, leadership, and financial support to youth, high school, collegiate rugby, and beyond, for men and women throughout the Midwest.

Our purpose is to establish a legacy of financial support and create opportunities to participate in the rugby community.
Investing Rugby
As a 501c3 non-profit foundation, the MWRDF relies on investment from individuals, groups, and corporations to help accomplish our mission. Investments can be made by volunteering time at events, taking a leadership role, or via a financial contribution. No matter how you choose to invest, your time, money, and effort will go to a great cause benefiting amateur rugby throughout Greater Cincinnati.
Building Rugby
To build a significant structure, you must first have a strong foundation to build upon. This is the approach that the MWRDF takes to the growth of rugby throughout the region. The MWRDF builds this foundation by providing world class rugby fields for practice and games, scholarships for ruggers traveling nationally and internationally, coaching clinics, and by providing balls, jerseys, and equipment to clubs throughout the region.

Fundraising
As a 501c3 non-profit organization, the MWRDF raises funds through several different methods including individual donations, corporate sponsorships, community efforts with Kroger Rewards & Amazon Smile, raffles for well known high-end prizes, and events such as the annual euchre tournament.

Volunteering
There are many ways to volunteer - coaching clinics, 7s & 15s tournaments, and social gatherings are just some of the many different events sponsored by the MWRDF throughout the rugby calendar each year. The multitude of events are a great way to create community, teach rugby, and build stronger rugby clubs, together!

Being a non-profit 501c3 offers us the opportunity to offer tax credit donation options. Donating money to the Midwest Rugby Development Foundation drives the success of our support of the development of rugby, and every bit helps. We offer several options: one-time, monthly recurring, and yearly recurring.
